A Louisville man who wanted to help his fellow man has had his day in court for personal injury. Life will never be the same for Steven Fry after he was hit trying to help at a car accident scene.
“It’s really hard on me and I cry sometime,” said Steven Fry, accident victim.
His speech is slurred, he has permanent injuries, including brain damage. Fry still want’s people to know he did the right thing and he would do it again in a heart beat.
On September 2, 2006, on the Watterson Expressway, near Southern Parkway, a drunk driver was trapped in an overturned truck. Fry and his girlfriend stop to help out, he wanted to help the injured and help direct people away from the accident scene, during all of the congestion.
“A lot of times when you are put in a situation where someone else needs help, in order to give them that help, you have to put yourself in a dangerous situation,” said Robert Mattingly, Fry’s attorney.
